4.      Seeds and seedlings:種苗
ü       Organic seedlings (for annual crops) must be used!. Seeds must be organically produced. 一年生作物必須使用有機(jī)種苗！種子必須是有機(jī)生產(chǎn)的。
ü       In the case where organically produced seeds or planting material (for perennial crops) of the respective varieties are not available, the farmer must provide written proof of having tried to obtain organic material and have this available during inspection. 多年生作物如果不能得到有機(jī)生產(chǎn)的種子或種植材料，農(nóng)場必須提供努力活的有機(jī)材料的書面證據(jù)，并在檢查期間可以看到這些證據(jù)。
ü       And again: Seedlings for annual crops (mainly vegetables) may not be purchased from conventional sources, but must be organically produced!. No derogations are possible. 再者：一年生作物的種苗（主要是蔬菜）購買不能來源于常規(guī)，必須是有機(jī)生產(chǎn)的！可以不折不扣。
ü       Seeds with chemical dressing may not be used, except for countries, where legislation pre­scribes chemical seed treatment for phytosanitary reasons.不可以使用化學(xué)敷料的種子，除非國家法律規(guī)定植物檢疫中的化學(xué)種子處理。
